- June 2011: More than 17 individuals were charged and 18 search warrants were executed as a result of federal drug and firearms charges. The arrested individuals were charged with conspiring to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine. This investigation was carried out by the DEA; the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation; the Kenosha Drug Operations Group; and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

All individuals seeking DEA jobs must possess a post-secondary education and/or specific experience in a specialized area, such as accounting, foreign languages, engineering, telecommunications, or maritime, or in the field of law enforcement, in such areas as drug-related investigations; surveillance; and undercover activities.
Individuals with no experience and a bachelor’s degree can only qualify for employment with the DEA with a GPA of 2.9 or higher, while individuals possessing a master’s degree, a JD degree, or an LLB degree need not meet any minimum GPA requirements.
